I watched her sigh and circle several times before she curled up under one of our Palo Verde trees. As I grabbed a fresh canvas, I was praying to myself that nothing would alarm her. But other than a rabbit or two, she had that spot of shade to herself for the afternoon. I was able to get several really lovely sketches that turned into a finished painting.
