I found this wonderful old burro at Spur Cross Ranch.  A couple of artist friends and myself were out and about looking for likely places to paint and ran across this wonderful dude ranch.  For a small fee and a bag of carrots, the local cowboy attached the burro’s halter to an old chuck wagon.   As long as I kept throwing carrots his way, he was relatively happy about posing for this painting.
