Jack rabbits are different than your ordinary garden variety cottontail. Jacks are actually a hare, and they have large, long ears, long legs and a larger body than the cottontail. I actually saw this Jack at the Phoenix Zoo when I was photographing Desert Bighorn sheep. Evidently this jackrabbit was enjoying the daily food being doled out to the desert rock dwellers.
